Burt Loring Bull, a beloved figure in the community, passed away on November 29, 2023. Born on August 31, 1963, in Kingsville, TX, Burt was the epitome of a loving husband, father, brother, and son. His life was filled with remarkable accomplishments and cherished memories that will forever be treasured by those who knew him.
Burt's journey began in Kaufer High School where he earned his diploma, laying the foundation for a lifetime of success. Following his education, he embarked on a career that would shape not only his own life but also impact countless others. In 1986, Burt co-founded Integrity Industries and led it with passion and dedication. Under his visionary leadership, the company flourished and became a symbol of trust and excellence within the industry. In September 2009, Burt became a full-time self-employed Rancher of Los Jaboncillos Ranch. Working his land and tending to his cattle, along with his sons Dillard and Bryson, brought him immense joy throughout his life.
While Burt's professional accomplishments were indeed remarkable, they were only one facet of his multi-faceted personality. He was a family man through and through, finding true joy in spending time with his loved ones. His sons held a special place in his heart, and he made it a priority to create lasting memories with them. As a loving husband to Linda, Burt exemplified what it means to be supportive and devoted.
Beyond the realm of family life, Burt's kindness knew no bounds. He possessed an exceptional ability to make everyone feel at ease in his presence. With an infectious smile that could light up any room, he never met a stranger. Burt's kind-hearted nature endeared him to all who crossed his path; he possessed that rare gift of making others feel seen and valued. Beneath his warm exterior was a man whose sense of humor brought smiles and laughter to those around him. His jokes were known far and wide for their ability to brighten even the gloomiest days. Burt's gentlemanly demeanor and deep respect for others were the cornerstones of his character, leaving an indelible impression on everyone he encountered.
Outside of work and family life, Burt had a strong passion for serving his community. He was a board member of the Riviera ISD School Board for 8 years and served as President for 6 of those 8 years; dedicating himself to shaping the educational landscape for future. Additionally, Burt was a proud board member of the Kleberg-Kenedy Junior Livestock Show, where he also took on the role of Superintendent of the Stock Horse Division. His involvement in these organizations allowed him to combine his love for education with his passion for livestock and agriculture.
Among Burt's proudest accomplishments was his membership in esteemed organizations, he served as a board member of the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) and Texas A&M University Equine Initiative, a member of the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA), where he won the 2019 NCHA Futurity, and Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA). These memberships served as a testament to his expertise and commitment to his craft.
Deeply rooted in faith, Burt was an individual guided by his strong belief in God. He attributed all his accomplishments to the Lord and never forgot to give thanks for the blessings bestowed upon him. This unwavering devotion served as an inspiration to those around him, and his faith played an integral role in shaping his honorable character.
Burt Loring Bull leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire and uplift those who follow in his footsteps. His unwavering faith, kind heart, infectious humor, and profound respect for others defined him as an exceptional individual. May we always remember Burt for the lasting impact he had on our lives and strive to embody the same values that made him truly one of a kind.
He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Bull; and brother Bron Bull.
Among those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 36 years, Linda Bull; sons, Dillard Bull and Bryson Bull; brothers, Bret (Jana) Bull and Bren (Angela) Bull; mother, Molly Bull; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
The family will receive condolences from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary; with a Chapel Service to begin at 2:00 p.m. A rite of committal and interment will follow at Riviera Cemetery, Riviera, TX.
Honoring Burt as pallbearers are Bret Bull, Bren Bull, Jeff Yaklin, Curtis Schuenemann, Scott Irby, Billy Saul, Eric Saul, and James Clement.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Burt's second love, the NCHA Foundation, which has served as the charitable arm of the National Cutting Horse Association since 1982 at https://www.nchafoundation.org/
