Bonifacio Leos Camarillo, Sr., age 86, a resident of Kingsville, Texas died Sunday, June 14, 2015 in Kingsville, Texas. He was born on October 14, 1928 in Kingsville to Isabel Camarillo and Refugia Leos Camarillo.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Juanita Muniz Camarillo.
He was the owner and operator of two family businesses for over 60 years. Mr. Camarillo was a longtime member of Templo Betel Asamblea de Dios in Kingsville, Texas where he served as a ministry leader in many capacities for over 50 years. Ministries included Praise and Worship, Sunday School Teacher, and president of the men's ministry, and also served on the Board of Deacons. As of late, he was a member of King's Way Family Church where he had served as an usher. He also attended Las Palmas Spanish Mission (a ministry of King's Way Family Church) where he participated as a special speaker on occasion. He was a faithful servant of God and taught his family the principles of living through the Word of God and by exemplifying a servant's heart. He loved his family dearly and looked forward to Sunday round table lunch discussions based on the Word of God. Mr. Camarillo left a legacy of music to his children. He played the guitar and accordion and encouraged times of worship and mentored his nine children to do the same. His love for people was evident by the many homeless people he and his wife ex-tended a hand to by bringing them into their home over the years to feed and cloth.
He is survived by six sons, Bonifacio, Jr., Selas (Sharon), Andy (Norma), Henry (Annie), Felix (Linda), Tim (Melissa); three daughters, Gracie Pourner (Tim), Anita Camarillo, Connie Smith (Brian); 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four sisters; and one brother.
Visitation will take place after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at King's Way Family Church, 1727 Senator Carlos Truan Blvd. Kingsville, with Rev Edwin Cann and Rev. Francisco Gonzalez officiating. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Resthaven Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
