Bobby Rich

Bobby Charles Rich, affectionately known as "Pop", age 77, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. He was born on July 23, 1939 in La Grange, TX to Bedford C. and Thelma Rich. Bobby was a graduate of Bishop H.S. and attended Texas A& I University. He served 2 years in the Army after being drafted and then retired from Celanese Chemical Plant after thirty-seven and a half years.
Bobby was a longtime member of the Kingsville Church of Christ where he served as an elder. He enjoyed doing woodworking projects and especially enjoyed taking vacations with his wife and their travel group of friends.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Toni Leslie Rich, his two children, Derek Rich, of Boerne, Tx and Lesley Gonzalez (George) of Corpus Christi, Tx. Six grandchildren, Tyler, Leianna and Josh Rich and Dillen Rich, Erik and Kaela Gonzalez. Three great-grandchildren, Ryder Rich and Rileigh Ramirez and Raelynn Rich. One niece, Luane Balyeat Porter. "Pop" was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His greatest joy was being with his family.
The family would like to recognize his special "angels", his providers Karen Thomas and Charlotte King. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the loving care you gave to our Pop.
You are invited to a celebration of life to be held Monday, March 20, 2017 at 11a.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville, Texas.
