Bobby Carl Lee

Bobby Carl Lee, a devoted family man and respected retired registered nurse, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2024, in Bishop, Texas, at the age of 71, after a long battle with emphysema. Born on July 1, 1953, in Odessa, Texas, Bobby embraced his earthly journey with a heart full of love, a robust sense of humor, and an unwavering faith that illuminated his every step.

A proud alumnus of Howard Payne University, and later spent 23 years in the oilfield industry, Bobby further cultivated his passion for caring for others by earning his nursing degree from the Methodist School of Nursing in Lubbock, Texas. His professional contributions were marked by compassion and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on countless lives throughout his esteemed career.

Bobby was affectionately known as a jokester, his infectious laughter and quick wit turning ordinary moments into cherished memories for those lucky enough to share in his company. While he wielded a feisty, stern demeanor at times, those who knew him understood that beneath that exterior lay a heart deeply devoted to his family. He cherished the laughter and joy found in the presence of his loved ones, consistently prioritizing quality time together.

A devoted grandfather, Bobby's pride in his grandchildren was evident to all. He delighted in crafting memories with them, nurturing their spirits, and offering guidance with a gentle, yet sarcastic touch, that made his words all the more impactful. His steadfast faith was a cornerstone of his character, providing strength and inspiration that transcended the challenges of life.

Bobby’s love story with his loving wife, Janet, was one for the ages—a testament to companionship and devotion. Together, they enjoyed a unique bond, sharing countless moments of joy and laughter; their union marked by a deep understanding and affection for one another.

Beyond his home, Bobby found solace in the embrace of nature. Whether he was hunting amidst the whispers of the woods or casting a line into tranquil waters, the great outdoors called to him. He found peace and exhilaration in the New Mexico Mountains, where his adventurous spirit roamed free.

Bobby leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion that will forever resonate in the hearts of all who knew him. As we reflect on his life, we find solace in the precious memories he forged, the love he nurtured, and the enduring faith that guides us still.
