Betty Strickland

Betty Jeffers Strickland, formerly of Kingsville, passed away at the age of 87 on September 19, 2013 in Wigggins, Mississippi. She was born December 8, 1925 in Breckenridge, Texas, the only child to T.A. and Sophia Jeffers.
Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She served as president of Agarita Garden Club for several years. She was an avid Historian and possessed an amazing political mind.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, E.W. Strickland. She is survived by her children, Jeffery Karen Strickland of Corpus Christi, TX, and Carol Alan Williamson of Perkinston, MS four grandchildren, Nanette Strickland of Austin, TX, Justin Melanie Strickland of San Antonio, TX, Amanda Cleston Williams of Wiggins, MS and Cody Nikki Erck of Perkinston, MS and one great grandchild, Remington Warner of Wiggins, MS.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at TurcottePiper Mortuary. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Turcotte Piper Mortuary in Kingsville, TX burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.
