Barbara's journey in this life was marked by the profound love she held for her family, alongside a palpable zeal for knowledge and exploration. Among her loved ones, she will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will endure through the countless stories told and cherished memories shared.

Barbara shared a fulfilling marriage with her beloved husband, Raymond Charles Ridley, for an impressive 53 years. Together, they created a loving home that welcomed their children and grandchildren. Barbara was the proud mother of Leslee Michelle (Presley) Brown and Arnold Manuel (Flora) Silva, who brought her immense joy and fulfillment. As a grandmother, she cherished her relationship with her grandchildren—Sarah Michelle Brown-Perez, Edward Farell (Katherine) Brown, and Rachel Alyce Silva. Barbara’s heart brimmed with love as she celebrated the arrival of her great-grandchildren: Kennedy Camille Leslee Brown, Collin Landon Gallagher, and Nathaniel Francisco Perez.

Though she experienced the sorrow of losing her son, Eric John Ridley, Barbara's legacy continues through the bonds she nurtured throughout her life. Her keen interest in studying genealogy fostered a sense of belonging and continuity within her family, solidifying the connections that would resonate for generations.

Friends and family are invited to honor Barbara’s life during the visitation at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville, Texas, on January 23, 2025, starting at 5:30 PM. A funeral service will be held the following day at the same location at 11:00 AM, followed by the interment at Chamberlain Cemetery at 12:15 PM.

Barbara Chappell Ridley was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, a proud grandmother, and a dedicated genealogist. Her indelible spirit and unwavering love for her family will remain a guiding light for those who had the honor of knowing her.
