Annabelle M. Garza, age 59, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Friday, July 17, 2015 in Houston, Texas. She was born November 2, 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas to Carmen H. Martinez and Tomasita Vecchio Martinez. Mrs. Garza was employed as Deputy Director for Administration for Probation in Kleberg County until her retirement. She also was a Kingsville Independent School Board Member for two terms. She was a board member of the Boy's and Girl's Club. Annabelle was on the board of the Adult Literacy Council and secretary, treasurer for The Worship Center of Kingsville. She was a Sunday school teacher for 30 years. She was also a foster parent for 10 years and fostered 69 children.
Mrs. Garza is survived by her husband of 30 years of marriage, Michael P. Garza Sr. of Kingsville; one son, Michael M. Garza Jr. (April) of Kingsville; one daughter, Liza M. Galindo (Alex) of Dickinson, Texas; parents, Carmen H. and Tomasita V. Martinez of Kingsville; two brothers, Carmen Martinez Jr. (Norma C.) of Kingsville and Daniel Martinez (Hilda) of El Paso, Texas; three sisters, Rita Allen of Ricardo, Texas, Viola Perez (Jesse) of Kingsville and Vickie Randolph (Randy) of Oklahoma; and two grandsons, Ayden and Luke Galindo, both of Dickinson, Texas.
Visitation will take place after 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. A prayer service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at King's Way Family Church, 1727 Senator Carlos Truan Blvd., Kingsville, with Pastor Edwin Cann officiating. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
