Angela Mata

Angela Marie Mata, age 49, a resident of Sarita, Texas passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 in Kingsville, Texas. She was born October 9, 1967 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Roberto Garcia and Norma Trevino Garcia. Angela was a 1986 graduate of Raymondville High School and attended Texas A&M University - Kingsville. She was employed as an administrative assistant for Willacy County. Angela was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Sarita.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Norma T. Garcia.
Angela is survived by one son, Ernie Mata III (Fabiola) of Sarita; father, Roberto Garcia (Norma) of Sarita; four sisters, Janet Coward (Richard) of Corpus Christi, Texas, Andrea Benavides (Efren) of Odem, Texas, Teri Guerra (Carlos) of Lasara, Texas and Lisa Garcia-Perez (Lloyd) of Kingsville; one brother, Bobby Garcia (Missy) of Kingsville; stepsister, Hilary Gomez (Delfino) of Kingsville; stepbrother, Adrian Alaniz of Tyler, Texas; and one grandson, Eric Mata of Sarita, Texas.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00a.m. Friday, October 13, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Sarita, with Fr. Jim Foelker, O.M.I., as celebrant.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
