Andrew Pena

Andrew John Pena of Driscoll, Texas passed away at the young age of 23. He was born April 5, 1999, to Ray Z. Pena and Angela Pena.

Andrew was a longtime resident of Driscoll, Texas and completed his elementary education at Driscoll I.S.D. and graduated from Santa Gertrudis Academy High School. He was attending Coastal Bend College at the time of his passing.

Andrew had a passion for learning. He loved to read and even won an award in the 4th grade for reading 6 million words. Andrew was a quiet young man who was bright and intelligent. He had a smile and laugh that would light up a room. He will be missed dearly by all those who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his Maternal grandfather, Gary McFatridge and Paternal grandfather Daniel V. Pena and his uncles Marciano Zuniga and Daniel Z. Pena Jr.

He is survived by his parents, Ray Z. Pena and Angela Pena, brother, Ray Pena Jr. (Melinda), his niece Harmoney Pena whom he adored, and his sister Ashley Pena. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles who loved him very much, Thomas McFatridge, Pedro Pena (Anna), Rodolfo Pena, Beatriz Reyes, and Veronica Ramon (Marcos) and grandmothers, Pat McFatridge and Elida Z. Pena along with numerous cousins and his close friends, especially his childhood friend Michael Hernandez.

The family will receive condolences from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, Friday, September 2, 2022, at the First Baptist Church Bishop, Texas. His funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm at the First Baptist Church on Friday September 2, 2022, with Pastor Lee Obregon officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 pm at Memorial Park 4607 FM 1889, Robstown, Texas.
