Amelia P. Olivarez, 69, of Kingsville, Texas died Thursday, August 28, 2014 in Kingsville. She was born December 30, 1944 in Kingsville to Cleofas and Maria G. Pena. She was a waitress for twenty years and worked as a dietary aide at Christus Spohn Hospital Kleberg for twenty years. She lived her life giving and loving generously.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mary Lou Villanueva.
Survivors, include her husband of 45 years, Juan M. Olivarez Sr. of Kingsville three sons, Servando Ellen Olivarez, Samuel Rosie Olivarez and Juan Teresa Olivarez Jr., all of Houston, Texas one daughter, Englan Ryan Grover of Kingsville three adopted daughters, Sonia Salinas, Amy Slaton and Karina Martinez 17 grandchildren three greatgrandchildren two sisters three brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2014 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2014 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2014 at St. Josephs Catholic Church with Fr. Romeo Salinas as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.
