Amanda J. Largent, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on March 6, 2025, in Kingsville, Texas. Born on August 29, 1947, in Altus, Oklahoma, Amanda's journey was marked by her unwavering positivity, love for family, and dedication to nurturing the young lives that crossed her path.

For many years, Amanda served as a bus driver for Ricardo Independent School District, where she found joy in talking with and helping the children she transported. Her warmth and caring nature left an indelible mark on those she encountered, embodying her belief in the potential of every child. Her pride in her work was matched only by her pride in her family, whom she cherished deeply.

Amanda's warmth was evident in everything she did. She created countless memories with her children, from fishing trips to camping adventures. A source of laughter and light, she was always there to lend an ear, offer guidance, and instill belief in their dreams, they often turned to her for support and advice, knowing she believed in them wholeheartedly. Her positive spirit was infectious; she was the life of every gathering, and her joyful presence brought comfort to all who knew her.

Her interests were as diverse as her talents; Amanda loved to cook and bake, often filling her home with delicious aromas. Her fondness for cats and her love of reading were important facets of her vibrant personality. Always the life of the party, her spirited presence lit up gatherings, and her positive outlook radiated kindness and joy.

Amanda's proudest accomplishments included becoming a bus driver, earning her CPC Certification, and most significantly, being a devoted mother. She leaves behind a legacy of love and inspiration for her surviving family, which includes her son, Greg A. (Miguel) Villanueva; her daughter, Alana Villanueva; her grandchildren, Zoe (Sean) Quillon, Sarah Villanueva, and Brandi Tankersley; as well as two great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members.

She reunites in eternal rest with her late husband, Jerry Largent; her son, Marty Villanueva; Macario Villanueva, the father of her children; her parents, Louis and Alice Stephens; and her sister, Brenda June Adamson.

A visitation will be held on March 14, 2025, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville, Texas, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. A prayer service will follow at 7:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to come together for celebrating Amanda's life at the funeral service on March 15, 2025, at 10:00 AM, concluding at 11:00 AM in the same location.

Amanda's kindness, fun-loving nature, and unwavering support will always be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know her. The world is a little dimmer without Amanda's light, but the memories she created and the love she shared will continue to radiate through her family and friends.
