Amado Delapaz

Amado C. DeLaPaz, age 86, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013 in Kingsville. He was born January 25, 1927 in Riviera, Texas to Jose Angel DeLaPaz and Santos Cerda DeLaPaz. Mr. DeLaPaz was retired from Celanese Corporation after 35 years of service. He was a member of La Hermosa Church since 1947.
Survivors, all of Kingsville, include his wife of 66 years, Olivia M. DeLaPaz one daughter, Sylvia Garza two sons, Amado DeLaPaz Jr. Guadalupe and Roberto DeLaPaz Sylvia one sister, Elena Moreno two brothers, Santiago DeLaPaz Maria and David DeLaPaz 11 grandchildren and 32 greatgrandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at La Hermosa Church, 714 East Avenue B, Kingsville, with Rev. Victoria Garcia officiating. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
