Amada M. Covarrubias, age 69, a resident of Kingsville, TX, passed away Saturday, March 14 in Kingsville. Amada was born in Kingsville on February 6, 1946 to her parents, Enrique and Armandina Alvarez.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
Ms. Covarrubias is survived by her husband, Cornelio Covarrubias of Kingsville; sons, Gerardo (Teodora) Alvarez, Cornelio (Beatrice) Covarrubias, Jr. and Martin (Davina) Covarrubias, all of Kingsville; sisters, Olga De La Cruz and Janie Alvarez ; brothers, Pedro Alvarez and Juan Alvarez; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
Visitation will take place after 5:00 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2015 at St. Gertrudes Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
