Altagracia Vela

Altagracia D. Vela, age 87, a resident of Bishop, Texas passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015 in Kingsville, Texas. She was born February 6, 1928 in Mexico to Eluterio Vela and Rafaela Davila Vela.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Simon Gonzalez and Ismael Gonzalez; and one sister, Victoria Vela.
Mrs. Vela is survived by one son, Margarito V. Gonzalez (Maria) of Bishop; and two sisters, Candelaria Ramos of Brownsville, Texas and Margarita Vela of California; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place after 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2015 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Kingsville, with Fr. Romeo Salinas as celebrant. Burial will follow in Bishop, Texas at St. James Catholic Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
