Alberto "Lolo" V. Treviño, age 86, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born March 5, 1930 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Ramon H. Treviño and Faustina Villa Treviño. Lolo was employed for the King Ranch as a cowboy until his retirement. He was known in the community as being the "story teller" concerning King Ranch History at Henrietta Memorial Center. He was also a part-time musician and singer.
He was preceded in death on August 5, 1999 by his first wife, Tomasa G. Treviño; and parents.
Lolo is survived by his wife, Jovita Treviño of Kingsville; son/nephew, Noe Garcia (JoAnne) of Kenedy, Texas; two stepdaughters, Michele Barrera (Andy) of San Antonio, Texas and Monica Holman (Matthew) of Woodville, Texas; two brothers, Ramon Treviño Jr. (Monika) and Gilberto Treviño (Frances), both of Kingsville; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will take place after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited by Ramon Isassi Jr. at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 at St. Martin's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
