Alberto Buentello

Alberto Buentello, born on August 11, 1931, peacefully departed this life on December 12, 2024, leaving behind a legacy woven with love, cherished memories, and the indelible mark of a life well-lived. A beloved figure, he touched the hearts of many through his kindness, passion, and unwavering spirit.

Alberto’s journey was characterized by his deep love for family and his enthusiasm for work and play. Throughout his life, he dedicated his time to working on the King Ranch, sparking an interest that spoke to his connection with nature and the outdoors. He cherished the simplicity and joy found in watching old westerns, where stories of heroism and adventure ignited his imagination. Additionally, he was a devoted fan of baseball, playing for the King Ranch semi-pro baseball team. He also loved the Yankees, sharing his excitement for the game with those around him. Music, too, played a significant role in his life; Alberto had a special affection for corridos, festive ballads that capture the essence of Latin American culture.

Alberto is survived by his beloved daughters, Carmella Jimenez and Corina Cantu, and son Joe Buentello. He also leaves a legacy of love through his younger sister, Adelina Betancourt, and his great-grandson, Fabian Navarro, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who all carry forward his spirit.

He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Maria Guadalupe Buentello, and his sons Julian Buentello and Alberto Buentello Jr., whose memories remain a vital part of his family’s heritage.

In honoring Alberto's life, a visitation will be held on December 21, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary located at 205 General Cavazos Blvd, Kingsville, TX 78363. A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 AM the same day, for family and friends to gather and celebrate his life and the love he shared.

Alberto Buentello will be remembered not only for his interests and hobbies but for the warmth he radiated and the bonds he forged with those around him. He leaves behind a family that will cherish his memory forever.
