Agustin Gonzalez

    Agustin “Tino” Gonzalez, 82, beloved Son, Spouse, Father, Brother, Father-in-law, Grandfather, and Great-grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on May 16, 2023. He entered this world on December 16, 1940, in Tienditas, TX, born to Nasario and Elisa Gonzalez.    

    He is survived by his brother Alejandro Gonzalez (Del Gonzalez); son Michael Gonzalez (Judi); granddaughter Danielle Barnes (Jordan Barnes) great-grandson Luke Barnes; granddaughter Kristen Gonzalez; grandson Jordan Gonzalez; son Mark Gonzalez (Dorine) granddaughter Maranda Gonzalez; granddaughter Meaghan Gonzalez; grandson Mark Gonzalez Jr; son Matthew Gonzalez (Nena) granddaughter Alyssa Gonzalez; grandson Matthew Gonzalez Jr.; granddaughter Sarina Gonzalez; son Martin Gonzalez (Rhonda); grandson Adley Canales (Anyssa)great-granddaughter Kora Canales; great-grandson Ryan Canales; grandson Caleb Canales; granddaughter Bryana Canales.    

    Tino as he was known to many was a hard-working welder who retired from Driscoll ISD as the Maintenance Director and bus driver after more than thirty years.  He impacted the lives of many children, not only his own.  He volunteered as a coach for the community during his early years of marriage.  His acts of kindness were plentiful for anyone in need of assistance at any time with no questions asked.  He loved his family and the time spent with each of them was priceless. He cheered for his sons that were coaching various sports and never missed one of his grandkids events.  He was a constant in his family’s lives and it did not go unnoticed.    

    On any occasion, On Thursday, May 18th Visitation for will be from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM at Turcotte-Piper Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on May 19, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. James Mission Church in Driscoll, Texas.
