Jose Fernandez Sr.

Jose Angel Fernandez Sr. “Gogo”, passed away on December 10, 2020 in Kingsville, Texas. He was born on April 7, 1963 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Pedro and Olga Fernandez. Gogo was a proud and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He worked as a cowboy for Laureles Ranch since the age of 15 years old. He later worked for Texas Energy Services alongside the late Juan “Flaco” Flores Sr.  his brother-in-law as a Foreman. He had many passions in life which included Team Roping, Fishing, Camping, BBQ’s with Family and most of all he was a diehard Dallas Cowboys Fan! Gogo was loved by so many and touched so many lives with his generous heart, beautiful smile and infectious laugh.

He is preceded in death by his father, Pedro Fernandez and his mother Olga De La Cruz.

Gogo is survived by his loving wife, Aida “Bonnie” Fernandez; two daughters, Jessica Flores (Jon Bishop), Venisa Fernandez; one son, Jose Angel Fernandez Jr. “Joe”; one sister, Rosa Maria Pena, four brothers, Roberto Fernandez, Jacinto Fernandez, Raymond Fernandez and Javiel De La Cruz; two grandchildren; David Daniel Guerra (Rosie) and Autumn Fernandez; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will be having private services.
